The radio biz is definitely new to me. I have been a dj since September '07. I have lived in Keene forever and I've been a KNE listener for as long as I can remember.
I always thought that it would be fun to work in radio, so when the opportunity presented itself, I jumped at the chance. I was definitely right about it being fun. It seems like a good fit. I think that the only things I ever got in trouble for growing up were either talking too much or having my music too loud. I am also well known among my friends and family as being a "fountain of useless knowledge", especially that of the pop culture variety. My family and friends would always joke that it would be awesome if I could find a job where I could put all of that to good use. I am pretty sure I found it!
When I am not working, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends. We love to play games and just relax. I am a VERY competitive game player though. The "fountain of useless knowledge" trait comes in handy for that! I am also a self professed shopaholic (not the kind that needs to be on Oprah or anything, at least not yet). Luckily for my wallet (and my husband), I am pro bargain hunter. If you want a good deal and need to know where to find...I'm your girl! Which is why I am an eBay addict. What was life like before eBay?!
I love when you call in to make requests, especially for the 80's Retro Lunch. If you want to make a request or whatever...pop me an email at bethany@wkne.com.
