Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk- Peterborough

You can help finish the fight against breast cancer by raising funds for and walking with American Cancer Society Making Strides of Peterborough. Join more than one million people each year who are helping to end breast cancer on Sunday, October 23rd. Grand Heroes- Weekly meeting for those raising their grandchildren

The Keene Senior Center program “Grand Heroes” is for grandparents raising grandchildren for any number of reasons.  There are weekly, Wednesday meetings at 5:30pm at the Senior Center on 70 Court St.   It will be a free, confidential, supportive, and sharing group to help raise kids, the second time around, a role that is both joyful and difficult, and an undertaking that no one planned on.

The Edge Ensemble Theatre Co- Dinner & Dessert Performances

The Edge Ensemble Theatre Company will present “Time Flies … but it’s All in the Timing:  An Evening of Short Comedies by David Ives” on May 20th-29th at Heberton Hall at the Keene Public Library Annex.

There will be six performances:  one dinner theatre and five Edge Cafe Dessert Theatre performances.

  • The dinner theatre will start at 6 PM on May 21, featuring a 3-course meal and cash bar.  Tickets are $55 per person and must be purchased in advance. Food selections must also be made in advance.
  • The Edge Café Dessert Theatre performances will be at 7:30 PM on May 20, 27 and 28, and at 2 PM on May 22 and 29. Tickets for these performances are $15 general admission and $12 for students and seniors.

Don’t have a story to share? That’s okay too.  Feel free to come and listen to local farm-related stories.  The Historical Society will film this event to add to its archival collection.
