Volunteers are needed to help sell food, run auction items up to the auctioneer and then to the winning bidder, tally bid sheets and clean up after the event.

The Brattleboro Museum & Art Center is now accepting submissions for the 2016 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, a prestigious national recognition initiative for teenagers with exceptional artistic and literary talent.
Vermont students in grades 7-12 are invited to submit art and writing entries in dozens of categories, including ceramics, digital art, painting, photography, poetry, humor, science fiction, personal essay/memoir, and more. The submission deadline is December 16, 2015.

Fresh, local balsam Christmas trees will be offered for sale at Monadnock Waldorf High School located at 146 School St.in Keene from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on three upcoming weekends: November 28th and 29th, December 5th and 6th, and December 12th and 13th.
Prices are $25 – $55 per tree. Decorated wreaths, garlands, and crafts will also be offered during the tree sales.
Funds raised from sales of these Christmas trees benefit the Monadnock Waldorf High School senior class service trip.

Give a gift to the homeless animals this Holiday Season! Visit Monadnock Humane Society in Swanzey starting on December 1st, and take a gift tag from the MHS Holiday Giving Tree. Each tag has a “wish list” item on it – a special pet toy or supply that our homeless animals need as we care for them.
Bring the gift item back to the Humane Society along with the gift tag, and place it under the Holiday Giving Tree. Your gift will make not only the animals happy, but will also bring cheer to the people who care for them.

The United Church of Christ in Keene located on Central Square is holding The Gingerbread Christmas Fair on Friday, December 4th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm and Saturday, December 5th from 9:00 am – 2 pm.
There will be a light supper of soup or chowder Friday evening from 5 – 7:30 and luncheon of chili with all the fixings on Saturday from 11 am – 1 pm.
Fair offerings will include many beautiful handmade doll clothes, craft, knitted items as well as jewelry, holiday gifts, indoor plants, a silent auction and lots of delicious homemade FOOD!

The Winchester Community Band and Hinsdale Town Band will host a pair of joint concerts featuring a selection of holiday standards, winter classics and new twists on some old favorites!
The free concerts will take place on Saturday, December 5th at 6pm at the Winchester Town Hall and on Sunday, December 6th at 2pm at the Hinsdale Town Hall.
