MR8 is the charity for 8 year old victim Martin Richard.

Keene School Resource Officer Jim Lamoreaux will also be running the marathon for the Dana Farber Cancer institute.

Together, they will be holding a 5K race and 1 mile kids run Saturday March 14th starting at 930am at Keene High School and then will be having another event that night at the Keene Best Western. The party will feature a silent auction, great raffles, fantastic apps from Waxy’s and music from CJ the DJ. All proceeds on the day will benefit the Martin Richard foundation and Dana Farber Institute.

The Annual Dr. Seuss Breakfast will be held at The Community Kitchen, 37 Mechanic Street in Keene on Saturday March 7th from 8:00am – 11:30.

A delicious variety of breakfast items will be served including Fruity Hat Cat Stack, (pancakes) Who Roast Beast (sausages), yogurt, fruit, Pink Yink Ink Drink, and, of course, Green Eggs and Ham!

There will be face painting, live music, readings from “Dr. Seuss” and a raffle.  Proceeds benefit the Community Kitchen. 

Monadnock Chapter Meeting National Federation Of The Blind

Monthly group that welcomes new people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind and parents or friends with folks with any of these disabilities. This group is about fellowship, advocacy, and continued opportunities for people with these disabilities. Also discussing goals for the next few months. Please come join our group. Now this location is not handicap accessible if there are interests to those who need that to be accessible we will continue to work on other venues that are more accessible if not by this meeting next chapter meeting so folks can participate.

First Congregational Church of Swanzey’s Kid’s Club

Kid’s Club is a group sponsored by the church and open to all children from Mt. Caesar or Cutler School, grades K-6th. We meet on the second Thursday of the month. Our time includes outdoor recreation, stories, snacks and projects. The theme this year is “Who’s Your Hero?” Prizes for anyone who brings a friend!
