Jesse Bardis is an excellent choice for this award as he has really grown personally during his years at Keene High School. Jesse entered as a freshman never having played either Football or Wrestling. Jesse’s accomplishments are due to his commitment, dedication, perseverance, and hard work. He sets his mind to a goal and then goes after it until he has achieved it. Jesse’s accomplishments at KHS are as follows:
During Jesse’s freshman year, Jesse was:
•A member of the freshman football Team
•He received an award in his English 9 class
•He was a scholar athlete all 4 quarters of his freshman year, achieving a GPA higher than 3.50
In his sophomore Year, Jesse achieved the following:
•A member of the JV Football team
•Continued to maintain a GPA higher than 3.50 for all 4 quarters, which qualified him as a Scholar Athlete
•Joined the Wrestling team
In his junior year Jesse had some major accomplishments:
•He continued to be a Scholar Athlete for all 4 quarters, having now achieved 12 quarters of a GPA higher than 3.50
•He was a member of the Wrestling team and the Varsity Football team
•He was awarded the defensive lineman of the year
•He was named to the 1st team All State as a defensive lineman
•He was a member of the student reps that attended the Renaissance Conference in Phoenix, Arizona
As a senior, to date:
•Jesse is a member and a Captain of the Varsity Football Team
•Jesse organized the Varsity Football Team players for Freshman Orientation….they supervised the game activities in the gym
•Jesse, as a member of the Varsity Football Team, conducted a clinic for the youth players of the American Youth Football League along with his teammates as a community service project
•Jesse is a member of the KHS Leadership Council
•Jesse is once again on target to be a Scholar Athlete with a GPA higher than 3.50
As you read through this bio it is easy to understand why Jesse was selected to receive this award. He, along with Krista, will represent KHS in a way that is proud and positive. He is an excellent role model for his teammates, classmates, and peers!
