Krista is a junior at Keene High School and the current President of the Student Council.  Krista is an outstanding choice for this award as she is dedicated, committed, and fiercely loyal to her choices of activities.  She perseveres when many would give up or give out from the endless and tiring work.  Krista is not swayed by hard work, in fact, I believe that she thrives on it.  I believe that hard work is what has made Krista so successful in her accomplishments.  You will see as you read the following:

As a freshman at KHS, Krista was involved with the following activities:

          •A member of the girls X-Country and girls Track teams

          •Received the outstanding freshman award for girls x-country

          •A rep for student council to the school board

          •Co-chaired the winter pep rally

          •Worked on building the homecoming float

          •Was a tour guide for incoming freshmen

          •Class council and student council rep

 

As a sophomore at KHS, Krista was involved with the following activities:

          •November KHS Student of the Month

          •A member of the girl’s x-country and track teams

          •Girls x-country team was #1 in these 3 areas in 2007:

                   Sportsmanship

                   Class L state champions

                   Highest combined GPA for student athletes

          •This same team was #5 in New England

          •Was a member of the dance team

•Krista received the black & orange award for school spirit as a member of the x-country team

          •Student council and school board rep

          •Student council historian

          •Chaired the fall and spring pep rally committees

          •Class council secretary

          •Worked on building the homecoming float

          •FCCLA Gold Medalist for a speech on Autism

          •FCCLA communications person

          •Community service with Big Brothers/Big Sisters

•Krista was a scholar athlete during both of her seasons during her sophomore year, maintaining a 3.50 GPA or higher

 

 

Junior year to date:

          •Krista is President of the Student Council

          •Launching school spirit and community service campaigns

 

As you can read and see for yourself, Krista is a fabulous choice for this award.  Her list of accolades reads like a novel, and she is very involved in our school through her varied activities.  In addition, Krista is a student athlete and maintains scholar athlete achievements during both of her seasons.  Krista is very deserving of this honor and will represent Keene High School and her clubs, activities, and athletic teams in a proud and positive way.
