Chaos and Kindness coming to Keene

Chaos and Kindness coming to Keene

KEENE, NH – Recycled Percussion has chosen Keene to expand it’s Chaos and Kindness brand.

The group announced on Facebook last month that they were looking to open a new Chaos and Kindness store, and were considering four locations across the state; North Conway, Merrimack, Portsmouth, and Keene. The first store opened in Laconia in September of 2019.

The group visited each town last week to get to know the communities and scout out possible locations for the store, and were met with heavy support from Keene businesses and residents.

“Instead of feeling threatened, local business owners instead welcomed us with open arms,” the group wrote in a Facebook post announcing their choice. “It just felt right.”

The post goes on to say they haven’t picked a location yet, but they will do so in the coming weeks, and plan on opening in the spring.

The group says the goal of opening a second store is connecting youth and elderly together, which relates back to their relationship with Roy Small, who they met in their Laconia location.

Now the group is looking for ideas from the community.

“What does your town need, how can we fit in, what void can we fill, what great programs would you like to team up with us, are there individuals with disabilities that want a job with us?”

Anyone with ideas can email them to Keene@chaosandkindness.com.
