SPOFFORD, N.H. — Authorities have identified the victims of a fatal two-vehicle head-on crash that occurred Friday afternoon on Route 9 near Chesterfield Hill. The collision claimed the lives of two individuals and left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Chesterfield police have confirmed that David Delgado, 25, of Miami, Florida, was driving the westbound Ford Mustang that crossed the center line, colliding head-on with an eastbound Toyota Highlander driven by Addison Murphy, 38, of New Jersey. Both drivers died at the scene.

Aimee Perez Hernandez, 26, also of Miami, was a passenger in the Mustang and sustained critical injuries. She was initially taken to Cheshire Medical Center in Keene before being flown to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon. As of Monday night, Hernandez remained hospitalized, but no further updates on her condition were available.

The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. on Friday, leading to the closure of Route 9 from Cady Lane in Chesterfield to Old Chesterfield Road in Keene until about 7:20 p.m.

Responding agencies included Chesterfield Police, New Hampshire State Police, Chesterfield Fire and Rescue, Spofford Fire and Rescue, and the Keene Police Department.

Family members of Addison Murphy, who was on his way to work at the time of the crash, described him in a Facebook post as a vibrant spirit, a free soul, and a beacon of positivity. He was also a proud father, affectionately calling his daughter “Honey Bee.”

No one involved in the crash was wearing a seatbelt. Authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the incident.

Witnesses to the crash are encouraged to contact Lt. Lance Rouse of the Chesterfield Police Department at 603-363-4233 ext. 62.
