Here’s one happy story from the fires in California.  Two guys went back to their parents’ house in Santa Rosa last Tuesday, to survey the damage and see if their nine-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog Izzy had survived.  Their family had been forced to evacuate in a hurry, and she got left behind.  Anyway, their neighborhood was destroyed . . . but then Izzy ran over with her tail wagging, completely unharmed.

There’s a great video online of a psychology professor freaking out over pomegranates, in front of her whole class.  She was doing it on purpose to illustrate a point, but it’s still amazing.
